Winterizing potted blueberries and June-bearing Strawberries

I have a potted Top Hat blueberry plant and a potted June-bearing strawberry plant. The have spent the spring/summer on our deck and have done well, no blueberries, but I read that is normal for the first year. My question is, how do I winterize them, as I am in Illinois. I know nothing about them really, they were Easter gifts to my children from my parents. Any information would be wonderful! It was nice for the kids to pick the strawberries this summer!
