Slugs eating elephant ears

I was checking out my elephant ears and I noticed there were holes in the leaves. I also noticed that one of the flowers had fallen to the ground so I went to go pick it up and then when I pulled back there was a slug on my hand. oh my god I was so scared hahaha. It's funny because I love snails. How do I keep these dudes away?

Oh, that's easy.

Beer. Put some in saucers around your plants, and let the slugs die super-happy. Given that I know your circumstances... hahaha... I'm giving you a LEGITIMATE reason to ask for beer.

Don't you go sampling any. It's for the slugs. I don't want to get in trouble.

I'm going to call and make sure you don't do any sampling. I don't want any trouble.
