Hummingbird feeding chicks

Hummingbird nests are nearly invisible because they're so small - no bigger than an egg cup - and camouflaged so effectively.

This one is in one of our apple trees & I was lucky to catch the moment. The picture shows it very much enlarged -

Thank you for this picture. I can't even imagine how tiny the chicks are, to have so many of them in the (probably) thimble-sized nest...

Beautiful photo! I'm waiting anxiously to see my first Hummingbird this year. All 3 feeders are out!

Thatis a very nice photo of Hummingbirds feeding their young. Something you don't always see.

Wow, :shock: now that's a winner. Ever think of intering that photo in a photo contest? :) It's sure to be a winner.
