Protecting Weeping Willows from Beavers

Thanks in advance to anyone who might help I planted 20 weeping willow trees a few years ago by our lake and beavers chewed and took all of the trees I would like to plant more what advise would anyone have to what I can put around the trees other than wire I don't want my dogs to get caught up in anything also I don't want to spend a lot of money a need a good home remedy could anyone help? Thank you

How about these ideas:

Electric fence

A small fence (can acquire at most garden centers)

A sprinkler (you can buy sprinklers that shoot a jet of water at intruders)

And I use dear fencing to keep dear, dogs and what not out of my garden, you can get it shorter than the ten foot variety that I use and then just use rebar or wood stakes to make a fence to keep the beavers out.
