June: Too late to start growing tomatoes?

Is it too late to start growing tomatoes? If it isn't what is the best approach so late in the season?

thanks!

Depends on your growing season. You may want to get tomato plants from a local source. I wouldn't start them from seed this late.

Seed too late, you could try buying some larger potted plants and wish for the best. I am sure you will get some. The short season ones would be the best choice. :)

I elected to buy some very mature large cherry tomato plants with a 44 day period...just planted them recently up here in NJ and so far, so good.

Now you can be all excited about growing tomatoes like we are. :D

There is something that is both comforting and thrilling about having grown your own tomatoes. Especially this year. I'm not sure I'd want to eat any tomatoes from any stores or restaurants.
