New tomato Gardener here - what is eating this tomato?

It's my first time growing tomatoes. My plants look very healthy for the most part, but I pulled this little fruit today due to some kind of bug damage. I looked around for signs of any obvious bugs, but spotted none.

Yikes! That looks aweful. Wish I could help you but I'm sure there are experts here that might know. Hope that's the only tomato that critter got! I'm only fighting birds and squirrels so far, but looks like you've got a different issue.

Are you sure that's insect damage? I'm using my phone at the moment and can't enlarge the pic very much, but it looks more like blossom end rot to me. There's a Sticky about it at the top of this forum.

Is it just one tomato or more ? is it a container tomato?

That's the only one so far, and it's a tomato plant in the ground.
