Tomatoes 11-11-11

I have documented on here the trouble I had with some of my tomatoes this year. Well, some of them did great and here is a picture of a second crop tomato that has given us some great late season BLT's and is holding on. I will probably cover it up tonight as we are predicted to have freezing temps

I am also trying some in my greenhouse. Not sure they will get enough sunlight but it is worth a try

The green tomatoes made it fine thru our little cold spell, even though they have the "I'm stuck in Colder Weather" look. These late tomatoes seems more dense than those ripening in 90+ weather.

Lakngulf,

I'm very happy for you to see your fall crop did well considering the problems you had early. Those are some great looking plants. I've already harvested all the green tomatoes we will be able to use and expect our first real freeze tonight. I guess my 2011 garden is about to close the curtains and turn off the lights. It's been a good year considering the hot, hot summer we had.

Ted
