Husky Golds turn red?

I just noticed 4 tomatoes on my Husky Gold plant that Ive over looked...they are bright red! I wish I knew they would turn red if left on the vine and I could have had some beautiful gold AND red tomatoes. BUMMER! Also...my tomato plants are BARELY producing these days...still green and growing but I'm not picking fruit as often. Should I pull them out of the ground?

Ripening on or off the vine will not alter the final color. If all of the rest of the ripe fruit were yellow what may have happened to the few fruits is the very rare process of somatic muitation (mutation in the growth tip rather than reproductive cells) turning on the gene for red color. These fruits are known as "sports". This would make the most sense if all four fruit were on the same truss.
