Starfruit seeds - wanted

What do you know. I have been given some seeds for starfruit. My mother inlaw found them. Great now let's see what will come of them.

Are they an annual plant? I know nothing about them except where I live (Zone 7 Tennessee, US) I only see the fruit for sale in the tropical section of stores.

Hi as far as I can see from google it is more like a tree. Still waiting for the seed to germinate. Will let you know how it progresses

I googled it also and it does seem to have a lot of vitamins etc but contains oxalic acid, not good fr kidney patients or those prone to gout. That leaves me out.
