Why is spring so short!!?

Went out to work on the never ending project of removing shrub honeysuckle from my hillside, to discover it is hot, humid, hazy, muggy, and buggy. The mosquitos are out in swarms, the poison ivy is popping up all over (I already have blisters in three different places on my hands), and it is generally definitely feeling like summer in Cincinnati out there!

Through fall winter and spring, my routine is get up in the AM and turn on THG while I have a cup of tea and wake up and then wander out in the garden after I have worked my way through what is new here.

I think it is now time to switch to the summer version, where I go out in the garden first while it is still cool and nice...

Spring is SO beautiful; why does it have to be so short!?

(only up side is that it makes me look forward to going in to the air conditioned office!)

Spring? Summer?

I thought it was monsoon season here.

I'm a spring baby and love the spring, I hate being hot. But I have actually been looking forward to summer to hopefully jump-start my garden. You know the story. At least give me some sun that would be swell.
