Sick Trident Maple Bonsai
I have two trident maple bonsais. I repotted them in February. Right now in April the tip of most leaves turn brown and keep falling. Some new growth turns brown too and doesn't grow as vigorous as a trident should be. Some of the leaves have brown spot on it. What is wrong with trees. Please help!! Some of my Crab Apples have brown tips too but not too serious.

Are these trees exposed to the wind because if so then this could be wind burn? Did you recently move them from a shady spot to a sunny spot? How has your weather been, hot, cold, dry? All these things could be a factor.
Also, what kind of soil is it? It may not need watering every night. You only want to water when the soil is just a little moist.
Also, if you can post pics that would help a lot. I would also be able to tell if it was some kind of fungus or insect damage.

Norm, Thank you for you adviseGnome wrote:slx2007,
This looks like leaf burn. The combination of newly re-potted trees and full sun might be too much for them. Try moving them to a more sheltered location if possible. If you have fertilized heavily recently this may be partly responsible as well.
