Watering dormant bonsai trees?
If I let me evergreen Bonsai tree go dormant for the winter, does this mean that I don't water it all winter? Do I water it periodically? Thanks!

mylalynn,
That would depend on how you store it. I over-winter some trees outside under mulch and later snow. These are not watered until I bring them out of storage in spring. The same for trees that are heeled into the garden directly. Some trees are over-wintered in an unheated garage, these will need periodic attention throughout the winter. Never allow your trees to become totally dry, moist or damp is OK.
