If you feel like taking the subway to brooklyn, the brooklyn botanic gardens has a Bonsai exhibit... unfortunately I've never seen it myself (the one time I went they had that plant that blooms once every 7 years on display instead )

Oh man! I so want to see the botanical gardens. I've been to Longwood down in PA. I've got to get to Brooklyn sometime. I don't live that far away, a couple of hours.

Was there during the cherry blossom, it's well worth the trip, I'll try to look for some pics and post it up. They have different rooms by categories like tropicals and desserts, etc.
